The Importance of Therapy

I work in schools and have worked with families for many years.  We all have a need for help now and then.  The benefit of therapy is that it is non-judgmental and the voice of reason in an often stressful time.  We cannot often get this objectivity from family members or friends.  As in relationship issues, someone sides with one of the individuals, and friendships have been lost for less.  One sides with the wife, but if the couple work it out, that friend may be on the outs.

Families often need help with children, how to parent, or support with children.  Someone besides them to be reasonable.
Going to therapy does not mean you have failed.  It is usually someone who is well-adjusted who knows they cannot always solve all their own problems, and needs help.  We all need help now and then.
