The Importance of Therapy

I work in schools and have worked with families for many years.  We all have a need for help now and then.  The benefit of therapy is that it is non-judgmental and the voice of reason in an often stressful time.  We cannot often get this objectivity from family members or friends.  As in relationship issues, someone sides with one of the individuals, and friendships have been lost for less.  One sides with the wife, but if the couple work it out, that friend may be on the outs.

Families often need help with children, how to parent, or support with children.  Someone besides them to be reasonable.
Going to therapy does not mean you have failed.  It is usually someone who is well-adjusted who knows they cannot always solve all their own problems, and needs help.  We all need help now and then.
So I was online tonite and saw more and more info about therapists providing a different kind of therapy, through workshops, audio, video that can be a support for families, and yes, I think that's a good way to go.   I myself do a spiritual journey, etc. by listening to audio in the car on trips, and it's okay to re-listen.  I also have trained myself on the internet through the same audio method.  It helps me to re-listen to information until it really becomes a part of who I am.
So, some of it would work with therapy.  Definitely.
So, the following options exist:
Facetime; Phone time; office time; tapes and video online, and audio online.  What do you think?
I have a FAQ page because many families struggle with certain issues.  All a work in progress with the changing times around us.

Office and Services

I offer services for individuals and families, couples and children.  In my years of practice, I have worked with special needs children, couples, individuals, families, adoption issues, international adoption, social service agencies, and even the court system.  I also work with the GLBT community, having done couples therapy and family therapy with non-traditional families.  Therapy is free of judgment and I work with where the client is and is willing to do.  It is not my agenda, it is your agenda that I focus on.  I look forward to working with you.
I am comfortable with many situations as I have seen much in my 20+ years.
